Foreign Policy: Asteroid Shield Must Be Global Affair
A little-known-about deadline is fast approaching: by October 15th of this year, Congress must choose an agency to protect the planet from potentially disastrous asteroid strikes. But commentator Joshua Keating of Foreign Policy argues that this job should not be the responsibility of the US alone.
