The New Republic: The GOP's Policy Tantrum
Was it a coincidence that Republicans unveiled their "Pledge to America" on the same day that the new consumer protections went into effect? Jonathan Cohn of The New Republic doesn't think so. He argues that while the Democrats are willing to make compromises to pass legislation, Republicans offer only vague promises.
