The State Senate must also pass the bill before it can be signed into law. Senate Democrats have left Wisconsin to prevent a vote. The fight has sparked huge demonstrations in the state capital, Madison, with protests planned in other state capitals tomorrow. The controversy raises new questions about the role and impact of public sector unions.
