Obama Officially Ends Ban On Gays In The Military
President Obama on Friday formally signed off on ending the ban on gays serving openly in the U.S. military, doing away with a policy that has been controversial from the day it was enacted. Obama and top Pentagon officials sent a notice to Congress, a step that will allow the ban to be lifted in 60 days.
