Syrian Troops Take Mosque In Besieged City
Syrian army troops backed by tanks and helicopters on Saturday took a prominent mosque that had been controlled by residents in the besieged southern city of Daraa, killing four people, a witness said. And 138 members of Assad's ruling Baath Party resigned to protest the crackdown.
