The Root: Comedians Hurt The Progressive Cause
The Oct. 30 rally planned by comedians Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert has received much attention, surpassing another march planned by progressive activists for Oct. 2. Sherrilyn Ifill of The Root argues that while the comedians fill an important role, they should work with activists instead of overshadowing them.
